Am mai fost în câteva excursii cu bicicleta înainte, iar aceasta a fost probabil cea mai bună. Ghidul nostru, Tri, a fost remarcabil, iar toți ceilalți cicliști au fost o echipă grozavă. Am simțit cu adevărat viața în Vietnam. Multă mâncare interesantă. Mesele au fost bune și abundente. Am crezut că vom slăbi, dar nu am reușit! Hoteluri bune. Multe atracții, dar vreo două de menționat: Insula Balenelor și Hoi An, coborârea antrenantă de 30 km și ciclismul în traficul din centrul orașului... foarte distractiv, dar îți lasă inima să bată nebunește. Este destul de aglomerat, ceea ce te lasă să vrei să petreci mai mult timp în unele dintre locurile vizitate. Modelul obișnuit este să ajungem la 17:00 - 18:00, iar a doua zi dimineață la 19:15. Cu toate acestea, am găsit timp să înotăm în piscinele hotelului. Trenul de noapte a fost foarte distractiv... totul face parte din aventură. Pentru a acoperi lungimea țării, există unele timpi de călătorie destul de lungi în autobuz, dar autobuzul a fost confortabil, dar este o ocazie excelentă de a vorbi cu ceilalți călători. Acest lucru îți oferă, de asemenea, timp să vezi mai mult din țară și să observi oamenii. Ne-a uimit cât de mult se putea îngrămădi pe un scuter! Bicicletele au fost ideale pentru condițiile de drum, fiind totodată curate și foarte bine întreținute. La opririle frecvente de băuturi/odihnă erau o mulțime de suc, apă, fructe, nuci și biscuiți. Șoferul și mecanicul de biciclete au fost foarte prietenoși și foarte competenți. Organizare excelentă, lucrurile s-au întâmplat exact când Tri a spus că se vor întâmpla.
I am a little late in posting a review. We returned from this trip in early March, right when everything started to close down due to Covid-19. I can tell you that the memories of this trip have kept me going while sheltering in place. If you are thinking this might be the trip for you, please know that it is very fast paced with moving from place to place almost every night was quite challenging. The cycling itself was challenging based on ones fitness level. My husband completed every kilometer, while I did about three-quarters of the cycling. A lot of it depends on the heat, but for a female in my early 50s, I found it very doable. We had the most fabulous guide and crew. I cannot say enough of about our guide Son - he was absolutely amazing - taking care of all the details while we enjoyed ourselves. There are plenty of water/snack stops with fresh fruit and amazing snacks (ginger/nuts/cookies). They take very good care of you.

We were part of a group of 17 who quickly formed a close bond created entirely by the enthusiasm and generosity of our leader. Nothing was too much trouble Long went out of his way every day to make sure we experienced in full life in Vietnam. The trip ran like clockwork, without us feeling we were being rushed at any stage. He made it fun even when we cycled 100 k in a day taking in a very high mountain pass.
The customer service before departure was excellent, the organisation from start to finish was excellent, the accommodation was better than expected, the group leader was excellent, the itinerary was excellent. As a solo female traveller I felt completely comfortable with the rest of the group whether they were traveling alone, with friends or with partners. The mix of activities, geographical locations, sights, sounds, terrain and communities left you feeling like you had experienced and encountered Vietnam, its history, its people and its landscape.
